A full, exciting and varied sports programme for children has been lined up for this Easter in Clackmannanshire.
Events kick-off on Monday, 2nd April at Alloa Leisure Bowl with a "Fun Swim", where children under-16 can swim for free. Children under-eight-years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No bookings in advance are required. The "Fun Swim", which will be held Monday to Friday, 2nd-6th April, and again from 9th to 13th April, each day from 1-4pm.
A "Rugby Camp", both hosted and organised by Hillfoots Rugby Club, will take place from Monday to Friday, 2nd to 6th April. Young rugby enthusiasts will get the chance to try out their skills each day from 10am until 2pm,. The event is for children aged between five and 15-years-old. New Age Bowls for both primary and secondary school children and children with any special needs. It will be held at Lornshill Academy from Tuesday to Thursday, 3rd to 5th April, each day from 12-1.30pm, at a cost of £3.50 per day.
A Football event for children aged between five and 10-years-old, can join in the fun at Market Park, Dollar, each day from Tuesday to Friday, 10th-13th April, from 10am until 12 noon. The cost is £5 per day or £20 for the week. To book a place on the football programme, get in touch with the council's contact centre on 01259 213131.
Zest Leadership Training will take place at Lornshill Academy, from Tuesday to Thursday, 10th to 12th April, each day from 1-4pm. The event, for 10-18-year-olds costs £10 for the three days. This training is a very useful preparation towards Sports Leader and any other Coach Education courses
It is an event which will give youngsters the chance to enhance their leadership skills with programmes around inclusion, dealing with challenging behaviour, learning and communication styles and event management.

AVIVA Star Track Athletics/Running for five to eight year-olds and nine to 12 year-olds will be held at Lornshill Academy, Tuesday to Friday, 10th to 13th April, each day from 9.30am until 12.30pm. The cost is £20 per child for the four days.
At the AVIVA activities a personal score card will be used to record the children's progress in 10 different events, including sprinting, javelin, triple jump and balance. Each child will receive a certificate and badge for the level achieved at the end of the week. Bookings for this event should be made through the council contact centre on 01259 213131.
School children are also being given the opportunity to take part in a "Flames Festival" at Lornshill Academy, on Friday, 13th April, from 10am until 3pm. The event, for primary one to seven pupils, will give them the chance to enjoy their very own mini Olympic Torch Relay and Opening Games Ceremony.
The Festival, which will cost £5 for each child, will be delivered by local Young Leaders based around the Olympic and Paralympic values. Children, who will be supervised throughout, including at lunchtime, are asked to bring their own lunches.
