A public consultation "Open-House" is to take place at Tillicoultry Community Centre to discuss options for the Murray Square Enhancement in Tillicoultry.

Following the recent demolition of Tillicoultry's Murray Howff, the way is now clear for the Council to set about the refurbishment of the square and the gardens to recreate a pleasant space where people can once again meet and relax in the true traditions of former Provost Thomas Murray.

The Open House will take place on Tuesday 24 April 2001, between 10.30am and 7.30pm.

Landscape and urban design consultants DEP Landscape Initiatives have recently been commissioned by Clackmannanshire Council to co-ordinate the design work for the refurbishment of Murray Square and the restoration of the public gardens with a view to securing funds to implement the works over the next year.

In order that the design team can address the key issues and develop the most appropriate improvement scheme, members of the public are invited to come along to give their views, raise key issues and concerns and to contribute positively to the Murray Square project.
