Alloa Library will be the venue for 'Adventures On The High Seas' - a special family event which is part of the Council's first Storytelling Festival.
The week-long festival 'Eastern Routes in Clackmannanshire' opens on Saturday 23rd October and is regional partner to The Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
'Adventures On The High Seas' comes to Alloa Library at 11am-1pm on Saturday 23rd October and will be run by Clackmannanshire's Writer in Residence Tom Murray.
The event will encourage families to have fun together, creating their own adventure story set on the high seas. Youngsters can create their own characters - maybe pirates in search of treasure or a stowaway on a ship sailing to faraway lands. The story and characters are up to you as a family. You draw the ship, create outfits for your characters to wear and together you write their story.
Materials will be provided. Just bring your imagination. Help, if required, will be on hand.
Please note this is a family event suitable for all ages with parents / grandparents/ carers / guardians working with the children to create an adventure story.
The event is free but places are limited. Booking is essential either in person at Alloa Library or telephone 01259 722262.
