Skate Park on the Cards?

A new skate park could be coming to Sauchie and the Council wants to hear your views.

The Council has organised a drop-in consultation event which will be held at Sauchie Hall on Monday 4th October from 3pm - 7pm.

The proposal for a new skate park has come about following the new housing development on the former builders yard at Keilarsbrae. As a condition of the development, £85,000 has been provided to pay for a recreational facility.

Councillor Eddie Carrick, Sustainability Portfolio Holder, said: "This is a chance to say whether you think a skate park is a good idea for Sauchie. And if you do think you would use a skate park, we'd like to hear more about what surface and ramps you'd like to see. At this stage, no decisions have been made, so it's important local people let us know what they think."

At the moment the proposal includes locating the skate park within Fairfield Park. The consultation event is also a chance to have your say on this aspect of the plan.

If you can't make it along to the drop-in event you can have your say in writing my emailing landserv@clacks.gov.uk or writing to Land Services, Kilncraigs, Greenside Street, Alloa, FK10 1EB.
