Planning your wedding can be a potential minefield of stress and worry. Sourcing all of the companies and products to make your big day as perfect as possible can fill the bride and groom-to-be with anxiety.
The Council's Leisure Team has done a lot of the hard work for you and brought together a range of companies and industry professionals who can help make your day complete.
This special event takes place at Alloa Town Hall on Sunday 10th May from 1 - 5pm and admission is free. This will be the third annual Wedding Show organised by the Council.
For the discerning bride, there will be wedding dress suppliers as well as men's formal hire and occasion wear. Two catwalk fashion shows by The Bridal Studio, Dollar, and Chameleon, Falkirk, will take place at 1.30pm and 3.30pm. They will be joined by over 30 local businesses including photographers, florists, caterers, hotels, favours, stationery, entertainment, travel agents, lingerie, beauticians, and lots more.
Bags and Bling and Victoria Jackson make-up will be on sale on the day.
Over 200 marriages a year take place in Clackmannanshire. Around half of the couples involved choose to be married in a Civil Ceremony conducted by an authorised Registrar. Civil marriages can now be conducted either in the Registration Office in Alloa, certain designated halls within Clackmannanshire or anywhere else within the County subject to the necessary approval being obtained.
This event will also be a chance to find out more about the legal formalities of getting married as well as gathering information on the Council-owned buildings such as the town hall, Cochrane Hall and Sauchie Hall which are all suitable for weddings and receptions.
So whether you are just starting to plan your wedding or you are looking for those final finishing touches, get yourself along to The Wedding Show, and get all the help, advice and ideas you could need to help you plan and organise your perfect day.
