Members of Tullibody Wrestling Club will be offering a taste of one of the activities on offer at the Mini No Messin', which takes place next week.

Coaches and club members will be demonstrating the art of wrestling at Tullibody Civic Centre at 4.30pm on Wednesday 8th April watched by Provost Derek Stewart and representatives of the event organisers. You are invited to send a photographer.

A range of exciting, free activities, including wrestling, will be available for young people to enjoy at the Mini No Messin', which will be held at Tullibody Civic Centre on Thursday 16th April from 7-9pm.

Other activities on offer include:

  • boxing
  • kickboxing
  • dancing
  • football
  • tag rugby

Entry is free and free refreshments will also be provided by Tullibody Healthy Living.

The event is being organised by Network Rail and the Council's Leisure Team and aims to show young people the many fun alternatives to messing about on the railway.

Provost Derek Stewart said: "Last year's No Messin' Live was excellent and I am delighted that the Council continues to work in partnership with Network Rail and local sports clubs to deliver events which young people will enjoy. I'm sure young people will hear the important message about the dangers of messing about on or near the rail line while having fun at this free event. I wish the Mini No Messin' every success."

No Messin' Live was previously held twice at Tulligarth Community Leisure Complex in the run up to the Alloa rail line re-opening and shortly after it opened. These events proved hugely popular with young people and as a result Network Rail is expanding their community programme by introducing smaller scale events for young people during the Easter holidays. The Tullibody event is a pilot for this new programme.
