Staff from Clackmannanshire Council will be available at a series of drop-in public consultations on its Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy in September. The events will also provide a forum for discussion of the Core Paths Plan.
Three evening consultations will take place from 3pm to 7pm:
There will also be an all day consultation and information event in Alloa in the East Vennel on 25 September. The Past Reflections, Future Directions event will be held in partnership with the CVS Compass Project, which is recording people's memories and reflections on the area.
From 11am to 5pm Council staff and the Energy Saving Trust will be available to help you find ways to reduce your fuel bills and save money. There will also be the opportunity to discuss sustainability, biodiversity, outdoor access and planning. Come along and pick up a free energy saving lightbulb or even an energy efficient kettle!
Councillor Eddie Carrick, portfolio holder for sustainability, said: "Looking after the environment is an important part of creating sustainable communities. But sustainable planning for the future cuts across all sorts of issues - including what we buy, how we travel and how we regenerate the local economy. The Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy recognises that, and we welcome all comments on this very important document."
The Council has posted copies of the Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy to key stakeholders, and from 1 September it can also be downloaded from the council website, www.clacksweb.org.uk, or picked up at any consultation event.
There will be a photo opportunity at Past Reflections, Future Directions on 25 September at 4pm, when Councillor Eddie Carrick will attend the event in the East Vennel, Alloa.
