The former Zones Leisure Centre incorporating the Band Hall is to be placed on the open market for lease or sale.
In January the Council agreed to close Zones and seek expressions of interest. This process is now complete and at today's (Thursday's) Council meeting, councillors agreed to place the building on the open market with a view to re-investing the capital received in the county's leisure facilities.
A condition of the sale will be that prospective bidders must take account of the interests of Clackmannan District Brass Band in any proposal submitted.
The under 18 Leisure Centre was opened in October 2003 and closed following a gradual decline in the number of users combined with significant maintenance and repair costs.
