Free fun for teenagers

Are you aged between 12 and 18? Then don't miss you chance to check out some free fun in the summer holidays.

More than 20 different activities including sport, dance and music will be available to try at No Messin!Live 2008.

The free event takes place at Tulligarth Community Leisure Complex on 23rd and 24th July from noon-5pm. And free buses will run throughout the two days to ensure young people from all over Clackmannanshire don't miss out.

Activities include:

  • Box clever with Alloa Boxing Club
  • Watch performances inside an inflatable theatre
  • Be a superstar DJ for the day
  • Reach new heights on a climbing wall
  • Get to grips with the latest computer games
  • Be an all-star cheerleader with the help of Katy Arthur
  • It's all to play for picking up some freestyle football skills
  • Try your hand - and foot - at the martial art of tae-kwon-do with black belt Stephen Rooney
  • Have a go at the oldest sport known to man with Tullibody Wrestling Club
  • Move with the times in a jazz dancing workshop courtesy of Katy Arthur
  • Brush up your artistic talents with Peter Russell
  • Hit the bullseye in an archery session with Bannockburn Bowmen
  • Be top of the chops in a karate and judo session
  • Test your cricket skills
  • Bounce back on the bungee run
  • Get in the groove with an urban dance workshop
  • Floor the opposition with your kick boxing skills
  • Experience the Brazilian art of acrobatics, combat and dance - Capoeira
  • Catch a wave without getting wet on the surf machine

The two days will also include a 3k road race with Central Athletics and the conclusion of the static cycling and rowing competitions.

  • No Messin! Live 2008 has been organised by Network Rail in conjunction with Clackmannanshire Council.
  • Last year's event, which aims to raise awareness of railway safety among young people, attracted 3000 young people to Tulligarth.
