Customer Focus Group to Meet

Clackmannanshire Council's Building Standards Team will host its fourth Customer Focus Group meeting next month.

The meeting is open to all interested parties including architects, agents, consultants and national house builders.

The purpose of the focus group is to help the Building Standards Team provide services to meet the reasonable demands of it's many and varied customers. It is also used to update customers on recent service developments, future enhancements and to ask customers what they want from the Service.

The next meeting will be held at 2pm on Wednesday 16th July 2008 in Council Chambers at Greenfield House, Alloa.

Topics to be discussed will include the current consultation by the Scottish Building Standards (formerly known as the Scottish Building Standards Agency) covering:

  • a review of standards and guidance on Section 2:Fire of the Technical Handbooks relating specifically to escape in the event of fire
  • a review of standards and guidance on Sections 0, 3 & 4: General, Environment and Safety of the Technical Handbooks relating to various issues but which predominantly covers sustainability; and
  • a review of standards and guidance on Section 5:Noise of the Technical Handbooks
