Forth Valley Business Diversity Awards

Forth Valley Business Diversity Awards 2008 are looking for nominations on behalf of businesses who are recruiting and retaining people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Forth Valley Business Diversity Awards are sponsored by Jobcentre Plus, Stirling Council, Falkirk Council, Clackmannanshire Council and Forth Valley Supported Employment Network. These organisations recognise that there are good examples of supportive employers within Forth Valley, who have discovered the contribution people from diverse backgrounds and abilities make to their workplace. It is important to celebrate that, and to communicate the message and good practice to other Forth Valley Employers.

The Awards ceremony will be held at Alva's Cochrane Hall on the evening of 25th September. Forth Valley category winners go forward to the Scottish Business Diversity Awards which will be held at Balbirnie House, Fife, in November 2008.
At last year's awards, which were held at the Westin Turnberry Hotel in Ayrshire, two of the three Forth Valley winners gained Scottish Business Diversity Awards and it is hoped that the high standard of Forth Valley nominations will repeat this success in 2008.

• Why not nominate a Forth Valley company that you know is committed to the inclusion of people from diverse backgrounds and abilities in its workforce?
• You can nominate any business whose core activity is not supported employment. Diversity encompasses age, disability, race, gender, religion and sexuality.
• It's easy to nominate - nominations will be accepted from employers, a member of staff, a customer or someone who works with the business.
