The county's first cross-landlord tenants' conference is being held on Saturday 26th April in Tillicoultry Community Centre.

The event is being hosted jointly by Clackmannanshire Council, Ochil View Housing Association and Paragon Housing Association and is open to all tenants.

The conference takes place from 10am to 3.15pm and will be opened by Anne Cook, the Scottish Government's Tenant Participation Development Manager.

A variety of workshops will be available throughout the day, as well as an information market with stalls covering subjects such as fire safety, fuel poverty, money advice and healthy eating.

Councillor Sam Ovens, the Council's regeneration portfolio holder, said: "This is a great chance for tenants to find out more about the future of social housing in Clackmannanshire, especially with work ongoing to achieve the Scottish Quality Housing Standard. We have already had a good response and expect a high turnout on the day, so I would advise anyone interested in coming along to book their place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

Places must be booked by Friday 18th April. To book a place Phone Michelle Flynn at Clackmannanshire Council on 01259 452404 or email mflynn@clacks.gov.uk.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Transport will be arranged or transport costs will be covered.
