Members of the Clackmannanshire Council Dog Training Club will congratulate one of their members on his achievements at Crufts when they meet this week.

George Davidson of Marchglen was a member of the Scottish Team which took part in the Inter Regional Obedience Competition at Crufts at the weekend.

He and his border terrier Blythe were the top Scots at the competition. He will be congratulated by the Council's Animal Welfare Officer, Eric Ferguson who runs the club, and his club colleagues when they meet this week.

You are invited to send a photographer to Cochrane Hall, Alva, at 8pm on Tuesday 11th March.

The club recently recruited it's 2000th member and has an outstanding reputation for training dogs from all over the Forth Valley area and beyond. Eric teaches dogs from as young as a few weeks old basic obedience and socialisation. And while very few members of the club are there to train their dogs for competition the club has had considerable success in this area over the years.
