The Council's Customer Contact Centre provides you with a single point of contact for phoning the Council.
The Contact Centre aims to deliver improvements in the way people are dealt with when they telephone the Council. Hopefully, no more engaged tones or being passed from one person to another – simply contact the Contact Centre and one of our customer service advisors will be there to help deal with your enquiry.
The Centre is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. *
Please note that telephone calls to the Centre may be recorded for training and quality assurance purposes.

The Housing Services Helpline 0845 055 7070 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for Council tenants to report emergency housing repairs.
Other emergency situations requiring Council Services can be reported on 01259 450000, our general enquiries number, between 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 a.m. on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays.
The Social Work Emergency Duty Team is available on 01786 470500 from 4.45 p.m. until 9.00 a.m. on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, for social work emergencies only.
