There were 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK in 2013-14. That’s 28% of children, or 9 in a classroom of 30.
In Scotland, Glasgow City Council has the highest level of child poverty at 34%, followed by North Ayrshire 30%, East Ayrshire, Dundee City Council and Inverclyde Councils all on 28% and Clackmannanshire on 27%.
