Clackmannanshire's Awards 2013
The Provost of Clackmannanshire is hosting a joint Award Ceremony to recognise the dedication and commitment that local people and groups make to help improve the quality of life in Clackmannanshire.
There are three different categories of awards you can make an nomination for:
Citizen of the Year - sponsored by the Lord Lieutenant's Trust.
There are many volunteers throughout Clackmannanshire who deserve to be recognised for their dedication, time and effort. The Citizen of the Year Award, sponsored by the Lord-Lieutenantís Trust is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank some of our champions.
Young Citizen of the Year - sponsored by Clackmannanshire Community Chest
Young Citizen of the Year provides an opportunity to recognise an inspirational local person, under the age of 25, who has enriched the lives of others or has been selfless in their actions.
Sports Council Awards - sponsored by Clackmannanshire Sports Council
- Junior Sports Personality of the Year
- Senior Sports Personality of the Year
- Team of the Year
- School Team of the Year
- Disability Sport Award
- Services to Sport - presented by S.A.L.S.C in conjunction with Sportscotland
- Enid Barton - Coach of the Year
- Young Leader / Volunteer of the Year (Sport)
- Lifetime Contribution to Sport
Each finalist will be invited to attend an award ceremony in early 2014 in Alloa Town Hall.
We are pleased to announce the following winner in this year's awards:
Citizen of the Year 2013
This year we decided to present a joint award to following individuals in recognition of dedication and commitment to a life-time of voluntary service on Clackmannanshire:

- Gary Richardson
Young Citizen of the Year 2013
In recognition of her selfless actions that have enriched the lives of others:
- Kristy McQuater
In addition to the proceedings a special award was made to Sir George Reid in recognition of his services as Lord-Lieutenant
